Field Trips
New York Historical Society
Visiting the New York Historical Society was a way for the Teagle group to see historical artifacts and compare them to the texts we read and analyzed. An impacting moment was when we saw chains that were used on a three month old baby. This was interesting because we were not only learning and hearing from the tour guide, but we were able to give feedback and converse on philosophical and historical topics.

Harlem Tour
Starting out from 135th street and Malcolm X boulevard, we were guided and introduced to a number of historical New York City landmarks. The fascinating facts and sites, such as Alexander Hamilton’s house, made the summer heat worth bearing! Living in Harlem the majority of my life, I was especially fascinated by the amount of history that was housed in the small island’s upper east corner.
